The Giant Schnauzer Club of America, Inc., was founded in 1962 as a non-profit organization. The main purposes of the G.S.C.A. are the preservation and protection of the breed, and to improve the character and conformation of the Giant as described in the official standard of the breed. The G.S.C.A. holds specialty shows, obedience trials, and less formal matches and other events.
